One aspect of the Holidays that I absolutely love, look forward to and semi-obsess over is wrapping presents. I love the giving of presents but I really love the wrapping of the presents themselves. Hey, like 90% of life is all about the presentation peeps.
So I decided to stick with the craft style paper that I have been oh so in love with for like the past three years and go from there. Krista and I had a little present wrapping party complete with some La Croix, the recent Adele performance and the smash sisters (aka Pars and Maude). It was pretty much the perfect #brassblossom afternoon. The past two years I have tried to pick a theme to draw together all of my present wrapping. Last year it was Bells and this year it was all about holiday balls. Christmas ball ornaments that is.
I took a gold (obvi) metallic marker and got to work writing each person’s name that we were giving a gift to on an ornament. I then attached those suckers to a (perfectly) craft paper wrapped gift and tied it up and down and all over with some twine (I adore twine). The result gave me that special feeling. That special feeling you got when you were just a little wee-one and you got woken up at like 3:30 am to your younger brother violently shaking you and convincing you that you both HAD to get up and sneak down to see if Santa had come. It was that good.
So without further ado, here is some (very last minute) holiday gift wrapping inspiration! Feel free to “borrow” a ball or two from your own tree to make it happen!
- Craft style gift wrapping paper (or whatever you fancy)
- Black and white twine
- Natural twine
- Christmas ball ornaments
I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas full of lots of love and holiday cheer!
