idaho adventures – stanley bakery

The Stanley Baking Co & Cafe happens to be one of my favorite places for breakfast or lunch. Perhaps it is the intimate space, the delicious food and coffee or the breathtaking views of the surrounding views of the Sawtooth Mountain Range. Every time I set out to the “bakery” for brunch, I get more and more exciting over the course of the drive. The bakery has a rustic feel with its log infrastructure and is plastered on the inside with Idaho photographs, portraits, a chalkboard menu and bakery gear. It defines Idaho charm.

Before we hiked to Goat Lake a few weekends ago, we stopped in the “bakery” for some much needed breakfast fuel. Ideally it isn’t the best meal to eat before you set out hiking up a mountain as heartburn may ensue, but our breakfasts were filling and delicious and kept us full for much of the day!

I ordered a Skinny Chai Latte and the “Classic” breakfast with hash-browns (obviously) and veggie sausage (still not really a fan). Food gawking photos below! The bakery also has fresh baked goods, scones, muffins, HUGE cookies, etc. to purchase at the counter for breakfast or lets be real, an after breakfast treat. You simply cannot go wrong with a meal at the “bakery”. But fair warning, there is always a crowd….

Below is a peak at our breakfast. We were lucky enough to snag a table right after ordering to enjoy our meal. The Stanley Baking Co & Cafe is a must stop for anyone in the area!
